Interlibrary Loan Policy

Interlibrary Loan Fees and Fines Policy

For each interlibrary loan item requested, there is a $2.00 fee that patrons will pay when the material is picked up.  Patrons must be notified of and agree to this charge before a request is submitted or officially requested from a lending library.

A $2.00 per item fee will be added to a patron's card for any interlibrary loan request not picked up.  The Manistee County
Library will notify the patron by telephone or mail that the requested item(s) has been delivered.  It is the patron's responsibility to make sure the Manistee County Library has current contact information.

Renewals will no longer be available on OCLC loans (downstate and out-of-state loans).  Patrons requesting a renewal on other interlibrary loans must contact the Manistee County Library location that originated the request at least three (3) days in advance of the due date.

Any interlibrary loan item(s) that is picked up by a patron is subject to the Manistee County Library extended use fees if not returned on time.

The Manistee County Library will not interloan any materials that have not been available for at least six (6) months (both sending MCL items and requesting items from other libraries).
